This service is designed for clients who may have difficulty moving around or transferring from one position to another due to physical limitations, disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. A mobility and transfer assistant is a trained and experienced person who supports the clients with these aspects of mobility. For example, a mobility and transfer assistant can help the clients with walking, using stairs, getting in and out of vehicles; using assistive devices such as walkers, canes, crutches, wheelchairs, etc.; transferring from bed to wheelchair or from wheelchair to toilet; positioning themselves comfortably in bed or chair; and preventing falls and injuries.
